China Ranks 111th in “Index of Economic Freedom”

The Heritage Foundation has published its 2005 Index of Economic Freedom. Hong Kong tops the list, followed by Singapore, while China comes in at 111th (tied with Zambia), behind Pakistan and ahead of Kazakstan and Mozambique. India is ranked at 121st.

China’s scored 3.34 overall, with the following category scores (1 = best; 5 = worst):
