As bird flu headlines hit the press across Europe, China has promised complete openness in its management of the situation.
Three bird flu outbreaks have been reported in Chinese poultry over the past month, but no human cases have been confirmed. However, officials are refusing to rule out human infection of bird flu in three recent cases in Hunan, including one fatality.
