So much is said and written about China that it is easy to miss the odd gem. Therefore it is a pleasure to introduce an occasional column highlighting some of the more colourful comments on the subject…

On developing relationships in China (by Greg Glass, Pfingsten Partners Hong Kong managing director, as seen on www.CBiz.cn):

Quite right. I would add to that some of my personal favorites, including chillied pig brain, fried scorpion, fried grasshopper, stinky tofu, and assorted unmentionables. Not to mention the karaoke, or a glass or two of Great Northern Wilderness bai jiu at breakfast, early on a winter’s day in Heilongjiang…
