The information technology (IT) services market is growing strongly, and is estimated to expand at 20.6 percent a year over the next five years, according to the China Center of Information Industry Development (CCID). The sector grew by 20.1 percent to RMB82.27 billion in 2005, while 19.9 million personal computers were sold, and 110 million people were internet users.
The market has attracted new investment from companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is setting up a new center in China.
