Christine will share her experiences of the recent Geeks on Plane tour to Japan and China and discuss the future of internet and social media in China.

You can arrive earlier or stay later to enjoy authentic Sichuanese snacks, Oriental beers and other drinks taking part in the Sichuan Food Festival which takes place from 24-26 July. For details see below.

2. Sustainability in China: Accelerating Change towards a Sustainable Society

IoD China Interest Group and the China Advisers Network invite you to join members and guests at a joint event on “Sustainability in China: Accelerating Change towards a Sustainable Society”.

Our speaker, Cyrille Jegu holds 2 Honours Bachelor Degrees in Engineering from the University of Toulouse and Kingston University and a Masters in Business Administration from Australia’s Macquarie University where he distinguished himself for his work on Corporate Governance and Services Marketing. He is also a Postgraduate from the University of Cambridge programme for Sustainability Leadership, and from the Swedish Blekinge Institute of Technology programme for Strategic Sustainable Development.

Prior to devoting his career to accelerating change towards a sustainable society, Cyrille worked for several years for the Suez Group in the Environmental industry in Asia and Europe and as an independent change consultant in the UK and Europe mostly in the Financial Services industry.

Cyrille is now a Senior Sustainability Advisor at The Natural Step working with Corporations and Communities to accelerate their transition towards sustainable practices. He recently undertook to introduce The Natural Step framework to Asia with a focus on China.

Following the formal presentation there will be an opportunity to network over wine and canapés.
